Child Wasting (2020)

Children that are too thin for their height are considered wasted, the prevalence of which could be seen when an area suffers sudden, acute shortage of food.

Child Labor & Marriage

When a household can’t afford consistent meals, children are more vulnerable to child labor and marriages out of economic concerns.

Developmental Delays

Food-insecurity at a young age puts children at risk of developmental delays, with which they are easily behind their peers both congnatively and emotionally.

Interrupted Schooling

Students experiencing persisting hunger tend to have trouble concertrating in class and have low attendance rate; thus their average years of schooling are usually shorter.
